A few weeks ago I purchased (from a web site named App Zoo) a copy of your Background Remover tool after testing the demo version downloaded from your home page on a handfull of photos where it seemed to work very well. I installed the plug-in to my Paint Shop Pro X program where it performs well but not as well it seems to me as the demo version did. How can I insure that the copy of Background Remover I purchased is indeed the latest version?

The installer file I purchased is named Background Remover_21_Setup.exe. I was not given any regsitration or activation code from App Zoo - simply directed to a web page where I was able to download Background Remover. How can I insure that I am properly registered?

Hello Simenon,

Your version is latest version. Just now full version of Background Remover is not protected at all, so you do not need any keys or license name.

Demo version differs from full version only watermark on result image.

Can you describe differences between from full and demo version?

Thanks for your response and assurances as to my having the latest version and I presume my registration here at this site qualifies me for any future benefits of owning the Background Remover plug-in.

I wish I could be more specific, but when I was using the demo it seemed I was getting very nice knockouts with relatively little cleanup necessary. The paid version has me doing a lot more trial and error on the settings and even at that I am often left with a very messy result that needs extensive edge cleanup. Perhaps I am now simply trying to do knockouts on pictures having more complex backgrounds - flowery backgrounds immediately behind a person for example. Perhaps I am not yet intuitive enough about the settings ranges most likely to succeed with a given type of background.

I am happy to have this tool added to my PSP X capabilities and hopefully future versions will become more powerful with the need for less trial and error.

Thank you. ~ Simenon

Just an added thought - could some sort of rough user guide be drawn up giving a suggested range of settings most likely to work best with various kinds of backdrops?

Thank you for your request, Simenon,

We have written a small tutorial concerning Background Remover.

You can see it at our site Background Remover: Object extraction? It is very easy!

If you have any questions or request, please write me.

Dmitry.
